At Escala in Seattle, RPM Architecture was engaged by iStar Financial to design and prepare penthouse units for market while mitigating construction and coordination risks for future owners. For Penthouse 30 East, the scope included complete design development, installation of plumbing infrastructure, and construction of partition walls to establish the unit layout. This approach, proven effective in earlier work with iStar Financial at The Martin in Las Vegas, ensured that plumbing locations were finalized before sale, preventing disruptive ceiling work in lower units after occupancy. The result was a market-ready penthouse shell with essential systems and structure in place, allowing buyers to customize finishes and details at their own discretion and risk.
