The Mondrian–Delano project was a luxury high-rise hotel concept designed as part of the larger Echelon master plan, a multi-billion-dollar development intended to transform the former Stardust site on the Las Vegas Strip. Though the overall Echelon project was eventually cancelled during the financial crisis and later re-envisioned as Resorts World Las Vegas, Mondrian–Delano represented a bold vision for dual-branded hospitality within a cohesive architectural framework. Richard McGrew served as a curtain wall specialist and contributed to the schematic design production drawings during the early design phase. His involvement focused on detailing the distinct envelope treatments for each tower—one emphasizing Mondrian’s clean minimalism, the other showcasing Delano’s textured elegance. The project was led by Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors.
